My brother is bured here. They were very kind.

This cemetery has one of the largest and spectacular mausoleums in the mid-west. Guarded by a pair of lions, it stands empty with no name. The eternal resident was re interred elsewhere. It is home to some very interesting tombstones and history.

I was very disappointed because I was lied to regarding when my mothers headstone foundation was poured. I called in May before Mothers day to ask was the foundation poured the headstone was ready to be delivered and these people were told the foundation was not poured. I called Forest home and was told they had over 100 pourings to be poured and could not promise it to me because in the winter they don"t pour, although t it was spring. I asked how soon will it be poured. I called back in August and was told they were still waiting on the headstone people to call them. . I followed up with the headstone people and was told they had been arguing with this company calling them over the last three months to schedule a delivery and finally they called them back and they will deliver the headstone next week (2nd week of August).b I called the cemetery back and relayed the information I was told. I asked Yola when was the foundation poured she said it was poured April 25th. I told her I called in May and was told the foundation was not poured. She proceeded to tell me about the groundsmen don't always tell them when things are ready. I let her know that was an internal problem that has nothing to do with their customers. I was very dissatisfied with their lack of communication, I wanted to visit my moms grave-site on Mothers day with my siblings and I am very upset that it has taken this long to install a headstone and I will be writing a review. In saying this I hope if you use this cemetery follow up to see if they have completed they work. If you are looking for a company that does beautiful head stones a cheaper price than the cemetery go to Bertacchi & Sons located in Hillside Il.

The only cemetery where I have seen graves with the hammer and sickle on them. Along with the tomb of Karl Marx in London's Highgate cemetery, a must see for the leftist tourist.

Home to the Haymarket Martyrs' Monument, where the men sentenced for their alleged involvement in the Haymarket Affair are buried. Nearby are the gravestones of Emma Goldman and Lucy Parsons, amongst other labor activists. Some people leave roses or little gifts on the plots. Ernest Hemingway's folks are buried here, too.
