Surely there is some Jewish Organization which can fulfill the promise the families were given. If we can support the people of Israel, why can't we meet our sacred obligation to our ancestors?

A lot of my family is here. I really wish they would do a better job maintaining the grounds.

An incredible office staff who go out of their way to help, especially when researching ancestors interred there

Found family members with much help from Matt in the office who walked us to the graves by phone once we got to the right gate. It was a very good visit and glad we went. Would like an historical tour here sometime, like Graceland as it dates back to 1861.

Fortunately I don't have any family members at this cemetery and my concern is the flooding of the grave sites alongside Roosevelt Avenue is very disappointing to see I can't believe that there are Graves that are submerged under water for days upon days when the DesPlaines River is flooding over and it seems like there's no resolution. I've always seen it like this for a very long time and I definitely feel sympathy and empathy for the family members that have loved ones in that area submerged under water. What a shame and disrespect to the deceased.

My mother and most of my family are buried here. Most of them have perpetual care. The problem is that their are many plots with no family left to take care of them. I can't blame Waldheim, but it is s sad to see the many overgrown graves and overturned gravestones.

It is also sad that many of the gates have the names of Jewish Congregations that no longer exist. When the families held burials beyond their gate they expected loving remembrance for their loved ones. Instead this trust was sadly misplaced by the passage of time and the migration of the Jewish population to the northwest.
